CSAgri Research helps quality to be competitive
CSAgri is the first network of Italian research laboratories focused on innovation in agriculture and agri-food industry
CSAgri is the first solution to the two contradictions of our agri-food sector.
Most likely Italy produces the best food in the world ever, yet many industries fail to turn quality into competitiveness. They also fail to innovate their production processes to keep pace with changes in technologies, regulations, consumer preferences. At the same time, there is a strong sector in public research working on the agro-food that strives to cooperate with industries to meet the market challenges.
CSAgri can help agri-food companies to improve production processes to consume less, reuse, simplify. In other words, to catch all valuable opportunities. Or to become larger. To make this happen CSAgri offers specific and multi-disciplinary skills, and the capacity to transfer solutions from one supply chain to another.
CSAgri specializes in the innovation of agricultural and agro-industrial production processes as well as in multi-disciplinary areas throughout the agri-food sector: energy; environment; safety, traceability and quality.
CSAgri stems from ENEA, the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development, a large research agency which has developed a unique expertise for sixty years on the agri-food supply chains and hosts laboratories with the most advanced equipment that collaborate with other researchers and laboratories in Italy, in Europe and worldwide.
CSAgri assists companies to find out who could provide them with the required innovation, either in ENEA or in other research institutions in Italy and abroad. It offers a certain path, including costs and timing, to problems and – whenever possible – also a search for funding. For those seeking for an opportunity, CSAgri provides check-up services on energy, the environment and sustainability, or on safety, traceability and quality.
CSAgri enhances research and converts it into productive and economic applications; it works in collaboration with Federalimentare, Confagricultura and the In.Bio Consortium (business incubator) as well as in all public and private institutions that are part of the network.
Because CSAgri is research making quality competitive.
